1、症状：病兔食欲减退或废绝，肠音减弱或消失，初期排出的粪球少而坚硬，以后则排粪停止。有的兔头颈弯曲，俯视腹部或肛门，表现出排粪迟滞，肠管充满，当肠管阻塞而产生过量气体时，则有“肚胀”现象。严重时粪粒外包有一层白色胶样的物质，尿少而色深（多为棕红色），触摸腹部时，可感到大肠内聚积多量的干硬粪粒。

2、防治措施：首先要精粗饲料合理搭配，并供给充足的饮水和青绿多汁的饲料及含纤维较多的饲料。加强运动，一旦发现便秘，应及时给予治疗，切勿拖延其病情。治疗时可采用：

（７）对顽固性难以治愈的病例，可肌肉注射硫酸新诺明，成年兔的用量为０·３毫克，幼兔减半，注射后２０分钟左右即可排出大量干硬的小粪粒，一般１—２次可愈，注射后应观察１０—２０分钟，若发现有呼吸困难、肌肉震颤、流涎和出汗的症状，可及时肌注适量的阿托品解救。

（８）双醋酚酊，成年兔每次５毫克，幼兔减半，内服，每日３次，便秘消失后应立即停药。
